Bus services

 

The Lothian Community Transport Services operate a 15 seat minibus on Mondays and Thursdays collecting and returning passengers at the marked bus stop post on the village green. Adults pay £1.80 per journey (as of 2021). Wheelchair users may be carried if they pre-book and space is available.

 

     Local bus

 

The Thursday (see timetable) circular route goes via Temple, Gorebridge, Bonnyrigg, Tescos and Dalkeith.

 

The Monday (see timetable) circular route goes via Temple, Gorebridge, Bonnyrigg, Lasswade, Loanhead and the Straiton retail park.

 

There is a No. 31 Lothian bus that runs from Bonnyrigg into Edinburgh City Centre (£1.80 single fare in 2021). The No. 140 East Coast bus stopping in Bonnyrigg includes Dalkeith, Penicuik, Loanhead and Roslin on its route.

 

 

Train services

 

The nearest train stations are at Gorebridge, Newtongrange and Eskbank on the Waverley Line which runs between Edinburgh and Tweedbank in the Scottish Borders.
